The Pezcoller Foundation-SIC – Patrizia Coser Fellowship (discontinued)
Established in 2019, in collaboration for selection and organizational activities, with the Italian Cancer Society (SIC), to honor the memory of Patrizia Coser, a brilliant and beautiful young woman who died of a rare cancer, after a short, intense life, at the age of 29.
- to support on a competitive basis, young Italian researchers for an annual cancer research project,
- renewable for a second year, carried out in an Italian Institute
In 2019, 27 applications have been sent from 11 regions and 18 research Institutes.
At the 61st SIC Annual Meeting (Naples, 6-8 November 2019) Federico Gulluni (PhD) from Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences, Torino University was awarded the Patrizia Coser Fellowship, with the research project “Defining the role of PI3K-C2α as a new prognostic marker in breast cancer progression”.

Patrizia Coser
